It has been a log time since I have tried to keep up with a blog. However something is calling me back to share what is going on with me. Things have been great since my last trip to Belize. The team was so amazing and has stayed much closer than teams in the past. We have even started a small group that comes over every sunday for breakfast before Church. It is like out Family now. The group is growing and spreading. We had 9 today. It started weeks ago with only 6. I really enjoy cooking for everyone and having them here. As far as things with me I am reading or trying to read Radical by David Platt. I am having a hard time getting though it as I find it hard to read. Much harder than Crazy Love or Not A Fan. Once I finish it I am going to move on to God is For Real. I am going to read this with Nathan. I am also going to start Gods at War the follow up to Not A Fan. I an searching for what God wants me to work on next. Mike Lee has a convicting message a couple weeks ago on Tithing and giving so I have been intentional about tithing and it has changed something inside me. I still have difficultly giving our finances over to God. But I think I am getting better. I still have a nagging need for new things Junk and toys mostly but I just can not get rid of the desire to buy new things.
On other news Candi and Nathan leave for Belize in jus a few weeks and I am a little jealous I wont share is with Nathan but I also feel like I would be a distraction to him if I was there. I know God is going to show up in magical ways through him. He was looking forward to going to Orphanage there but they will not be going.
Family news this is the first Christmas with baby Jacob. For those of you that don't know Jacob is the baby Natalie (my sister) and Jimmy (Brother in-law) adopted earlier this year. I am so happy God has provided them with a son and Jacob with loving parents. We will all be meeting at Mom and Dad's on Christmas Day to celebrate together. Mom and Dad have found a church in Siler City and go regularly. I had a chat with my dad and he has asked to be saved by Christ. This was a big step for me to even ask so it was good.
